Anyone & Everyone with PSP

I havn't used remote play in a while since last 2 updates we had untill today & it used to run smooth as butter but when i did today it was slow as hell?

I tried both through internet & private network & i was only 5 feet away from PS3 - i tried every connection setting in PSP remote play menue & it still slow as hell & pauses a lot.

If you havn't done so in some time please test your remote play to see if you have same issue - maybee its due to new PSP or PS3 firmware - list your details as i did below.

Users who tried remote play=

Pooky_187
PSP-2000 Slim RED GOW Edition
Internet & private network both tried
Newset PSP & PS3 firmware
5 feet away from PS3
Remote Play is very slow & choppy + pauses

Re: Anyone & Everyone with PSP

Hey Pooky. I have been playing with mine last few days cause I can collect trophies on the go smile
I have a PSP-1000 something... first gen PSP with Custom firmware, pretty much latest version of firmware. 5.xx something.
And up to date PS3 firmware, 2.53. Only play on my private network and it works flawlessly, no pauses. I have played PixelJunk Monsters and Bionic commando on the PSP and both run smoothly. Awhile ago, I was playing PSX games and I found it a little choppy, so let us know what your doing as for games or w/e.

Also, make sure your not using your network heavily... ie. bitorrent, transferring lots of files and such during the process.

Re: Anyone & Everyone with PSP

I used a friend's PSP with the latest custom Firmware but my PS3 was still on 2.52 worked no problems at all.

I'll give it a try soon. I forgot about remote play and how you can play games on the go...should use this more often!

Are you using custom firmware or official? I am on custom 5.00 m33-3
Also, you have your router setup any special way? maybe setting it to factory settings may fix some issues.
You can always try sync'ing the PSP and PS3 again just to rule it out.

Re: Anyone & Everyone with PSP

Hey pooky, I was playing some more with my PSP/PS3 last night and discovered something that may help you. After you remote connect to your PS3, press the home button on your PSP and there are some connection settings there that you can alter for quality/performance. Try that out. rookie tongue

Re: Anyone & Everyone with PSP

I believe he said he tried that.  I don't even have a PSP and the first time I messed around with remote play a long time ago I found the connection settings.

LOL rookie smile as i said though i did try that - i tried all the settings so not sure why there was lag - im ah play with it more later see if its still causing it & going to unplug the surround sound wireless speakers to see if that might be interfearing but i doubt it cause i didn't have surround sound on at the time
