I have a co-workers laptap that she wants me to fix for her. The thing is it has no disk or floppy drive so doing it that way is out. I was thinking I may have to setup a RIS server to install XP. I was planning on using tiny XP since it lacks all the bells and whistles and most likely would run well on this older machine.
Info I do know:
-boots into ms-dos
-has a USB port
-can boot from NIC
-has 2 partitions
So how should I tackle this? I've never installed an OS without a cd/floppy drive before. I've never installed anything through RIS but I have setup a NFS server to do Linux network installs. But from my understanding you still have to have at least a floppy to boot the PC with the config file doing RIS/NFS installs.
