Hi all i got a problem. I got a japanese ps3 but im playing in the uk and im having a problem starting tekken 5 dark reasurrection which i downloaded from psn. I havent got a HD tv so theres a resolution problem. The ps3 is running on ntcs resolution of 480i but the tekken requires the normal 576i resolution to start. I cant start the game. Does anyone know a way of changing the resolution to PAL on the ps3? Im actually using a uk tv so it does play 576i

576i is a PAL resolution. If the game requires it, then it won't run on an NTSC console at 480i/p.

Ohhhh i see, i thought he was contradicting himself. What he actually means is, his television should play that game fine but for some reason its not, am i correct?

He has a JAP PS3, which NTSC-J. Since the PS3 is running NTSC at 480i with a SDTV, his 576i SDTV won't display it. Tekken 3 is a download, and probably doesn't even have HD graphics, and it's default rez is 576i. Thus it probably won't display on any NTSC SDTV television either, that is of standard definition.

Now, he says he is using a UK television, but the PS3 is NTSC-J, so that still won't work with a SDTV. The GAME has to support the resolutions and multi regions, not the PS3 itself. I have also had issues with my PS3 playing PAL content, it says the format is incorrect for this region, and I have an HDTV.
