I just bought the exact same one "WD 250GB" for my PS3 yesterday and it fit and works fine

from what I read stally 500 is the highest right now

Your SIG is over the 400 x 150 limit, it was removed, yours was 450 x 150 - rules are rules, I don't make them but I will enforce them...
