I'm going to install YDL 6.0 and just need to run a few things to make sure I don't be looking like some noob amirite?

So i have a brand spanking new 320GB Seagate 5400.5 sata 2.5, i'm waiting on the mail man but assume its in my hands.

I have a DVD with the 3.8GB ISO of YDL 6 burned on it.

I have 2 PS3 Controllers.

That is all.

I have NOT got a mouse or keyboard be it USB or Bluetooth.  As far as i can tell when i set the root password this will be a problem.  However considering YDL6.0 was pretty much made with the PS3 in mind i would of thought there is a way around that [1].

So assuming i dont have to get a keyboard i would begin the process.

1. Swap in the 320 GB hard drive.
2. boot up PS3 and format it.
3. would/could i set a partition up for the other OS or even for the ps3 game os. Remember i have 320GB and will be hoarding a few Demos/game installs(GT5 GTA4 MGS5 etc) BUT will be using alot of videos music and random crap in Linux[2].
4. Install Linux, 'following easy to understand install wizard'.

and then have a small tour before leaving Linux for the XMB, how would i do this i know the is a command console but without a keyboard?[3]

So to recap [1] can i install using solely the Sixaxis, [2] partitions when where and how much either way and [3] what can i do with or without keyboard and mouse in Linux including getting back to XMB.
