I fracking hate HDD. I ordered two and both DOA's. One for my friend. DOA. One for me. DOA. And my two hdds i have in my PC right are about to die. Ill hear them clicking around and ill have to turn my PC off and on till the damn things work. I need a HDD that will be reliable, fast, and cheap. And i dont care what anyone says but theres no way in hell im using western digital HDD. Both HDD ive ordered were WD. Ive been told by a friends whos a computer technician that WD's are $hit. Ive been told my another friend who works with computers alot that he has had trouble alot with WD HDD. The thing i hate the most in the world is Western Digital. They are worse than Vista when it first came out. Plus they dont have a warrenty on the HDD i ordered so im down fracking 170 bucks for a piece of $hit HDD that doesnt even work. I use it as a door stop now. So i need a new HDD ASAP. I dont know how long the ones i have are gonna last right now and my copy of vista i have is on my PC so i can only install it if i have an OS installed. And i lost my Win XP CD so that OS is out of the question. The only disc i have a is Win ME. Please. For the love of god. Dont make me have to install that.

I would go Seagate if both my Western Digital drives were bad.

well i had no problems with both but i like seagate and their 5 yr warranty better.
Although, I see no problem with where it's posted I'll move it to computing section anyways. ![]()

go wit samsung....they make great Hdd...IMO,but i use toshiba personally..DOA wazzat stand 4?seriously...like thats the first time i have ever heard that acronym and once in that Foo Fighters song..

DOA means dead on arrival. somehow during the shipping the got zapped or beaten up and when they arrive you open it up and try it out to find....you wasted your time and money.

Yep. Spend all that money cuz the damn UPS guy has to frack one of the people he works for in the back of the van and accidentally drop your hdd so when you get home it dont work.

I know the HDD in the PS3 is a different size but ever since Sony changed to use Seagate instead of WD the HDD is far quieter amongst a few other good things so I'd get one made by Seagate....3.5" obviously lol. I've actually built up a collection of 2.5" HDD's so I just use them as external's rather than the HDD inside my PC.

Seagate or I think I got a Toshiba for my PS3 (as did my friend and they were shipped together) that worked no problem.
