Omg you guys!! A major update... and whats today? Is it wendsday? I think it is. But i thought updates like this ONLY come out on thursdays.. Hmmm oh well. Who ever said that must have been high. Anyways what sucks about this is that Sony is teasing us. They finally gave us what we wanted but only have of it. The rest we have to wait for. Like trophies and music. So we finally have in game XMB.. but all we can do is message each other with ease and check there profile during the game. That alone is pretty cool but i still cant help but to feel that my ps3 is incomplete.

It was me that said it and I was right, this is the first major update not on a Thursday. One explanation might be that there could be a large store upload tomorrow and they had to release the firmware, which is also large, a day early to save time. Besides, who was it that said we wouldn't be getting it at al?! You know what, I really cannot remember who it was that said, "We will not ever get in-game XMB!" Something along those lines wasn't it?!

As for 2.40 itself, it's great but there's things that dissappoint me, like when you press x on someone's name on the in-game XMB you get their profile rather than the message list. The fact that nearly everything is inaccessible is understood but still a big pain. No games are supported other than a few that are out, the others Sony stated aren't released yet. The fact that when you enter the only settings that can be altered, accessories settings, and you enter a specific item such as audio settings and then back out, it puts you all the way back to all the settings menus, rather than highlighting audio settings under accessory setting.....which makes no sense whatsoever!

Lol sc_bond we did get In-Game XMB but with a catch... the catch was that it would suck. No in game music. No tropies. And like you said when you press X on a user you get their profile and not messages which will get annoying if im in a conversation with someone. The only good thing that came out of this is the fact that we can FINALLY message in game.

There are trophies! Check my Gamer Card I got like 6. SuperStardust HD has Trophies & today im going to buy the add ons for that game to get more trophies.

Yeah... The ones they showed on that video demonstration of the in game XMB and thats about it.
