new hard drive
i just bought the hitachi 200 gb, 7200rpm, 16mb cache, 876 mbps transfer rate hard drive and it is awesome. and it comes with a transfer box(to move all your old stuff to) and a new shell to put your old hard drive in(to have an external)
i'm definetly recommending

You cant have a 7200 RPM had drive for PS3. Atleast i dont think it would be good for it. 5600 is whats recommended

Now honestly how much faster could it possibly be? I also heard that some games will crash if it loads to fast but I have trouble believing it.

so you can change a bad hard drive? i have a "family friend " has kids have 2 ps3 and told me that he thinks the hard drives are fried! so please help!

I wanted to try a 10000RPM drive when I had mine, but the smallest ones are 3.5.
I think the biggest you can get in 2.5" SATA 1.5Gbps is 500GB with a 16MB cache at 7200RPM.
