I haven't seen a bulletin yet here, so i thought i would put the word out.  Basically the new PS3 Media Center is a huge upgrade to the File Server.  Now you have a nice colorful page with tabs for your music, pics, and videos.  just save your stuff in specific folders on your PC and you can access it easily through your PS3! 

unfortunately this is a VERY early release and it has VERY limited functionality.  Pictures don't display properly, and as far as i can tell the music portion doesnt work at all.  you can see they are making some very good progress though, and within a few weeks you'll be streaming music, pics, and video to your PS3 with ease!  this is the program that will unlock the true potential of the PS3 as a true do all media center for your living room.
