I'm using a SDTV but want to know which Linux OS looks the best and is similar to YDL as i would love to have YDL but it looks really bad on SDTV and wont be getting a HDTV for a couple of months so please could someone help me out thanks.

I'd say YDL lol. You want the best, well it is. You want something similar to YDL, well nothing is more similar lol.

yeah ano YDL is the best but it looks really bad on SDTV and is hard to read so i was wondering which linux os looks the best on a SDTV and has good applications etc...

YDL is better bad on a standard SDTV. I'd have to say Gentoo looks the best, next to Ubuntu. But, Fedora 8 and Ubuntu look pretty similar.

Fedora looks like YDL. Actually, most Linux distros look the same it just depends on the window manager you use. I'd suggest Fedora or kubuntu because I like KDE better than Gnome Plus, with KDE you can use AmaroK, the coolest/best music player ever.

id say fedora 8 ppc edition it works with ps3.
because ydl is based on fedora and yum

anoo should i just use YDL even though it looks bad on the ps3 because ive been watching some videos of it on the ps3 and it dont look that bad

P.S does anyone have any screenshots or videos off YDL 6.0 running on a SDTV

Cheers for feedback guys ive just downloaded ydl 6.0 and going to install later on tonight even though it will be running on a sdtv it dont bother me

Really? Well I wanted an OS that already has KDE 4 and this was one of them. I've used Fedora before whats wrong with this one?

1. its network manager is coexistent with another one which then you have to configure both to get the internet running.
2. gnome on it runs way too slow
3. lack of graphic drivers which may not even let you run compiz-fusion or beryl.
4. CANT GET THE SOUND TO WORK. ive tried to even making my own drivers which for some reason worked on every other linux distro i used.
5. the only thing good is kde 4 and and im not a fan of kde.
6. they ruined yum to a certain degree of eewwwww.
so ya. that pretty much sums it up. i enjoyed fedora 8 or 7 much more. dl that and update it to kde 4.
