You can now plug your USB 200GB or whatever you have onto your PS3. All you need to do is follow the below steps:
1) Format your External Hard Drive or Flash Memory (FAT32)
2) Create the Following Fodlers
-- PICTURE
-- MUSIC
-- VIDEO
3) and Your External Hard Drive is ready to be used.
With the 60GB/20GB you will also have (External HDD which can be more than 500GB)
This is also a starting point for hackers to hack, and you can save your ISOs onto your External-HDD![]()

They're just bein too darn kind, it takes all the fun and anticipation out of hacking. The one major thing they did was support homebrew.
If anyone wants any information about my ps3 giv me a holler!

So a GAMES folder on the external HDD will allow you to play saved ISOs? What about transferring saved PS2 Games to the PS3?

I have seen this adapter, they're like 14.99.

I was able to just put the UPDATE.PUP file on to a memory stick pro, root, and it found and updated to v1.5 without using any folders. I have a 4GB Excalibur USB drive, I made the folders and put that in for the MP3s and all... Too bad the PS3 won't see .SWF files as games amd run them from the game folder.
Can the browser see .SWF files locally off any memory card or the HDD?

No, it has to be formated to so the PS3 can read it. The video formats compatible with the PS3 are MPEG-1, MPEG-2 (PS,TS), H.264/MEPG-4 AVC, and MPEG-4 SP.

I have not tried it, but since you have a web browser, isn't it FLASH enabled? I am not asking about video or audio formats, I know all that. I am talking about Shockwave Flash files, like you can run with PSP... Just wondering. . .

No, you can't run Flash Videos and Audio, but they can be easily converted.

Does that require any firmware?

Does what require any Firmware?

...to use this trick.

it isnt a trick... jus format hd to fat32 and plug in and should make the folders automaticaly with firmware 1.3 and up(thats the versions i know that do it).
edit: why fat32 though....4gig file limit if i remeber right and games are well over that... maybe sony isnt as stupid as we thought?

Oh damn he's right. That point goes to Sony. But if there will ever come an iso loader it will handle split up files.
