PS3-Hacks.com / cant get to desktop after install ydl6

ok i installed it as 480! since i have a sdtv and it installed fine but after it installs it comes up wit a black screen with the text :

yellow dog linux release a6.0 (Pyxis)
kernel 2.6.23.ydl6.1 on an ppc64

then it says login....only thing i can login as is root cuz i have made a user yet just the hostname

what am i supposed to do

Before anyone asks he got the YDL6 DVD from me & everything is fine cause i used the exact same disc to install it on another PS3 & worked fine so there is no issues with the copy he has.

Wish i can help you man but I havn't installed it for a SD Tv-If Powerslave gets on today before his surgery tomorrow i know he will probally be able to help.

Edit: E-mail me at kahn183@aol.com and I'll see if I can find the instructions to install the graphical interface on an SDTV.

Had to bust out my iPod for that one. Stored the file as a note so that I could view the directions when I originally installed it, soon after the Playstation was originally released. Haven't used the file since then, and I probably deleted it from my computer.
Lucky I left it on the iPod.
