you could always use fiber optic around the edge of the glass to accent the windows

Yeah some nice led edge would be nice

good start, would love to see the finished product

Sweet I like how its turning out, but you would need to figure out how to power the led lights. O.O

I dont know the inside of the PS3 but with 360 cases that have lights it is just powered off the drive through an adapter
Offline
Ehh its no prblem figuring out a power source . I can either run the lights off 1 of the 2 power sources on the inside, or get an external wall adapter and drill a hole right next to hdmi slot. But either way i do it i gotta find some time first, hopefully sometime this week ill be able to.

Cool, but i dont think you should go with the wall thing just get the power from inside the console ![]()

ok so heres the finnished pic of the ps3. I decided not to go with leds simply because the ps3 power supply is so temper mental and shorted out, it had to be replaced so ill have to go with an external wall adapter if i go with leds in the future. Enjoy

what tool did you use to cut and did it leave those annoying non smooth thingies

I used a dremal and a bit used for cutting plastic. Not to be confused with a cut off wheel this bit was all metal and at the end looked like a gear with some razor sharp edges, also there is a bit by dremal that is a cut off wheel thats all metal and is diamond dusted that works just as well. While cutting it did leave the burned plastic edges when cutting but were easily removed with just my fingers. I left the protective film on the plexie glass while cutting to make sure I didnt scratch the front. All and all took me about 3 hours to make sure everything was cut right. The plexie glass had to be shaped to match the curve of the ps3, I used a cookie pan my gf had, poured water in it stuck it on top of the stove, heated it up with the plexie glass laying flat (sat in there about 3 min once the water was about to boil) removed and gently bent the plexie to a good curve(cold water after you have the bend you like will set the glass in place) if you bent to far no prob just gently bend flat on a table. Then using a glue I ran across the edges and left in place to dry. Um theres a few other things I did but wernt necessary to finish but I can post the rest if you need.

He could probably take those off and add more stuff later on, but watch out what you put in there, could melt with the heat or something. ![]()

why dont you put some see-through clear plastic and underneath it some neon lights with the shape of a game logo, your favorite band logo or something like that.
