Care to share more information on why YOU think that?  I gave a reason, kind-of, so what's yours?

Re: Blu-Ray Burner Donation Thread

Hi,
When I first read about the lite-on BD-R reading PS3 discs, I laughed because I thought all BD drives were like that. Now that I read the posts here and in a few other places, I guess that´s not the case. Strange, how come some can read them and some not?
Anyway, I just wanted to give a heads up that the Lite-on BD is not the only one to read ps3 discs.
I picked up an Aopen BD-R and it reads PS3 games fine.
lol, you can even copy, paste files to your pc.
here´s a link from pcuniverse.
http://www.pcuniverse.com/AOpen-BDR-041 … d/p4613706

The price seems a bit high but I got in on promotion for 109 euros here in Europe about 1 month ago.

Re: Blu-Ray Burner Donation Thread

DVD Blu Ray Burner can convert and burn almost all the video formats to Blu-ray disc, like AVI, WMV, MKV, DivX, Xvid, MPEG, MP4, MOV, H.264/AVC, M2TS, FLV, etc to Blu-ray Disc of 25GB or 50 GB capacity with amazingly clear picture and rich surround sound.

Besides, Blu-ray Creator can help you trim the videos as you wish, plug-in player allows users to preview the input video freely.

If you want to burn Blu ray effectivly, Just free download this excellent DVD Blu Ray Burner.

Re: Blu-Ray Burner Donation Thread

i would like to know. if the ps3 can play back ups of bluray.

hold on let me finish....

on ps2 you can make an EXACT copy of the DVD game and swap the EXACT copy of the original in the PS2 Game (NO MODS). and it will play off the EXACT copy. (has to be the same game and an EXACT copy) in order for it to work. i tried this and it does work on PS2. i just dunno if it'll work on PS3.

that's what i would like to know.

PS3 Totally different security system.   You now have security sectors on the disc you cannot write with conventional burners.  That's was similar for PS2 and XBOX, they just used DATA stamped with the press, that a burner cannot write, and a reader would error out on.

If you got a PS2 backup to work AFTER placing the original in the drive, then something is wrong with YOUR PS2.  I tried that, it has not worked for me, EVER, without the swap trick.  It didn't work with the PS1 either, without a swap trick.   Still, if you need the ORIGINAL to play the backup, what's the point?

PS3 now checks the disc in the drive real quick.  When I first got mine, I could Eject the disc while playing RFoM, and it would take about 1.5 to 2 minutes before you get prompted to put the disc back in.  Now, it's almost immediate, and I tested it a few months back with RFoM, and it told me immediately to put the disc back in (they patched up a security hole!).   When you put the disc back in, it checks the security sectors before it continues, ALWAYS.  Xbox1 and PS2 does the same thing, so I don't know how you got an unchipped one to do that, without a swap-trick method.

Make a VIDEO and show us...  Still, it won't work with PS3 titles.

This thread was started on the assumption the PS3 would be hacked for backups, and well, here we are three years later, nothing.   This donation thing is done, and the money is going back to people that WANT it back, or for contests with prizes.   Greg also mentioned making it 500.00 for the first person to get ORP working with no errors, flaws, or glitches.  HE will test it, of course.

I posted about the Donation thread http://www.ps3-hacks.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=8168

Re: Blu-Ray Burner Donation Thread

i wish i could make video to prove it. but i no longer have that PS2.
after original loads and game is at main menu then i swap the copy in while its spinning at full speed.

i did it with Mortal Kombat Armageddon. i may try it with the Slim and See if work with it.

Re: Blu-Ray Burner Donation Thread

Your full of crap jawn. Every time you hit the eject button on the PS2 it initiates a power cycle and in turn checks the disc for the security sectors. The only way to do that would be a swap trick.

hey. i don't appreciate that tone.

no swap trick. no eject button.

my PS2 had top off while PS2 is Reading disc i swap in exact copy made.

simply when menu shows up take out original while its reading it and put in copy SIMPLE AS THAT
ps2 will continue to play and it'll play off the copy.

That means, you have to have made it so the switch did not trigger (open circuit) to detect the lid was lifted, the EJECTING of the disc. I got a PS2 slim, as SOON as I pop the lid, the system stops, and asks for the disc.  A BACKUP did not work.  However, with the rear left sensor switch TAPPED down, or GLUED down, so it does not open (interrupt) the circuit (part of the eject trick) it does not detect the LID was opened.

Correct Powerslave
Thats what i'm trying to say.

as stated in my quote. LID OFF THE PS2. and Eject button is not to be pressed.
BTW it was done to a FAT PS2

Right, but at FIRST you made it sound like you did not MODIFY anything to do it, and you HAD to.  It was not till later, that you said your LID was off.  THIS procedure you used, is a very important part of the the very first use of the SWAP TRICK method. You did mislead people in the beginning with your two posts, which is why Jsamp said you were full of crap.  I was also going to say that, because I know it does not work without doing SOMETHING so the PS2, so that it does not know you pulled the disc out (SWAP TRICK METHOD).  You did not say your TOP was off till Jsamp said you're full of it...

Just be more honest with your data from the start, and that will avoid the "You're full of crap." posts.

With the PS2 Slim, you have to tape or glue the one button DOWN, so it doesn't see the lid was opened.

Re: Blu-Ray Burner Donation Thread

ok. my mistake
i didn't think taking the top off was MOD. and "swap trick" when i hear that i thought of the Swap Magic.
as for the slim i know. i have done the ps1 swap trick.

i realize i didn't make the first few posts clear enough.

My Apologies to Jsamp for the confusion.
