i was wondering if or when a downgrade for the ps3 firmware 2.01 is coming out.

i want to play some backed up ps3 games and was wondering how i can do it

you can't downgrade or play backups on any firmware version, do a search or click the flashing link at the top.

Click the [INFO, Hacks & Exploits] link at the MAIN MENU bar, then you would see there is no downgrader for your question.
