Homebrew/custom firmware and hack similar to PS3?
I'm sorry if this has already come up, I did try looking first.
Has anyone tried hacking the PS3 like the PSP was first hacked? I don't know the first thing about coding but surely there's a way to run the homebrew using the same or similar exploits used on the PSP.
I mean, what I really want to see is an app that hides the region of a PS2, BluRay or DVD, making it region free but still using your own discs. Or even a similar thing but where you can copy your discs first and launch them using and ISO loader.
I know it's easier said than done but can anyone teach me the basics or tell me exactly how the PSP was successfully hacked?

Yes, as said a thousand times before, though the menus LOOK alike, they are no where near the same. Did you even see the [ISO Loader, Hacks & Exploits] link in the main menu bar? Nuff said, and I am not giving another physics lesson on the PS3...
