I thought some of you may find this amusing:
A 14 year old boy from Brevard, North Carolina was nearly killed Sunday while trying to stop his Xbox 360 from overheating.
While his mother was away the boy had taken the power supply and wrapped it in plastic and tape. In an attempt to cool it off, he submerged it into a pan of water with the cord still plugged in. The boy had regained consciousness by the time paramedics had arrived. He was taken to the Transylvania Community Hospital in Brevard where he spent the night.
Aside from getting knocked unconscious the boy only suffered small burns to his right hand and foot.
Hmm, place a power supply in water; nice...

I read that yesterday. At 14 I would assume you know by now not to combine electricity and water.

Ever hear about the guy who sued the manufacteur of a RV company... he put the RV on cruise control and went and took a shower and sued after he got hurt when the vehicle flipped.

Offline
Did he actually get any money. Please tell me no.

Pretty sure he won because nowhere in the manual did it state you couldn't do it. There are some pretty stupid lawsuits out there that your just like wtf... how did they win. Like the guy who broke into someone's home and hurt himself on the stairs or something and sued and won ![]()

That is why we have a WARNING on a serpentine belt that says "Turn motor off before installing" - Man, I would liked to have been there the first time THAT happened. The warnings are placed there becuse it has already happened at one tome or another. ANY moron should know you do not install a belt with the motor running.
Do you REALLY need a warning that says to keep away from your propeller while spinning? Well, it exists... Why? STUPID PEOPLE, or, one what was drunk or on drugs at the time, because no sane person is going to stick their freekin' foot in a propeller when it's spinning.... My god, the stupidity of it all, huh?

Actually it was pretty funny in retrospect, He didn't complain to MS.....
Yes, and No. Because, Mod chips have both legal and illegal purposes. And, luckily, in the US, theirs no law about them. They also make anti-piracy or good Modchips, that don't play burnt games, but who's dumb enough to buy one of those, lol.

Modchips are 100% illegal under the DMCA.
Modding, in any way, shape or form is illegal, and if caught, you will be prosecuted. Modchips were not invented to serve a legal purpose, who is anyone kidding.
They are not illegal in Austrailia, last I knew... But in the USA? You bet, that's why you can't sell them in the USA with a hacked bios, you have to buy them overseas...
IF you read the EULA every console has, you see where you agree to NOT mod your console, in their legal terms... It's all pretty much unenforceable unless you're selling mass modded product with games installed, and YES it has been done, and YES they were busted. The last raid was in the USA, Pennsylvania included...
