The best two games are Oblivion and RFOM they not really anything else yet .

i dont know how you guys can pass up or not mention F1.  that game is sick.


RFOM is obviosly a for sure buy.  motorstorm is pretty good for an arcade racer.  but F1 is the best racing game on the system IMO

yeah thats the thing, i love bike racing & f1 is the closest you are going to get to bikes right now.  just the way the cars drive & the tracks are very similar, some are the same.  its a pure race sim.

if you guys want to check it out yourself, just DL the demo in the ps store

if you upgrade the firmware. turn off upscaler for the game and dvd.

RFOM - Very solid game, crazy online play and control system is identical to halo except one button (punch)

Cons: Can get repetitious...


Oblivion - Very nice game, solid overall.

Cons: only 720P.... graphics are nothing really different from 360. (And they took so long to release it.. shame on you... tsk tsk) No online.

Genji - Graphics are very good. One of the first game for PS3 and good button smasher.

Cons: Horrible camera angles, puzzles can get little weird..

Ridge Racer 7 - Good graphics, good sound and feels like arcade.

Cons - Nothing new from 360, relies too much on drifting... (fast and the furious anyone?)

GunDAMN - Horrible.

Virtua Fighter 5 - Very good game overall, good graphics and solid gameplay.

Cons - A.I is not as good as human players... so no online support def. blows... (don't get me wrong.. I like it and everything but not my favorite button smashing fighting game.)

Virtua Tennis 3 - Suprised how good this game was. Feels like arcade (it's a good thing.)

Cons - Graphics on player model looks like shiny colored clay...

Untold Legends - Horrible... I don't want to talk about it...

F.E.A.R. - I kinda agree with eddie420 with this one. PC version was so much better then this piece of crap...

Fight Night Round 3 - Very good game. Actually looks better then 360. Loading time really stinks but what can we do ay? Best of it's series.

Cons - Loading time.

Tony Hawk 8 - Ahhh... graphics are good. Gameplay is fun... for first 3 hours.. then it gets repetitious and tiresome..

Cons - Read above...

Call of Duty 3 - Very good example of why port games suck. 360 version was better, smoother. One good thing was integration of six axis.

NBA2k7 - Very good game overall, graphics are ok and the sounds/ announcements are very accurate. Six axis freethrow system took me a while to get used to...

Cons - Commercials.... it's really annoying (to me at least...)

Madden 07 - Very good and I would have liked if I liked football... I'll ask my brother how this one is...

Motorstorm - Very Very Very good game. Highly addictive. However lacks contents.. just racing and that's it. Oh and theres that loading time again...

Cons - could have packed it little more and could have cut the loading time.

NBA07 - Horrible game play.  Player textures are terrible... they look like wax statues...

Sonic - I Recommend this game for 5 yr old girls and f@gs.

MLB 2k7 - It's ok... I liked the show better although it's graphics are more crappier... fairly average baseball game.

MLB 07 the show - Good gameplay

Cons - Poor graphics... I can't distinguish which player is which...

Def Jam Icon - I have never really liked Def Jam series but music integration to the game play was fairly unique. I'll give you that much.

Armored Core - I liked the 360 version better because it was the same game and I hated the loading time on this mofo...

NFS - Carbon - Good graphics, solid game play.

Cons -  Too much drifting, weak storyline and not much improvement from 360. (10 bucks more when I bought it.. I guess im bitter...)

And resistance: fall of man doesnt seam repetative to me. Its my favorite game for the ps3

I have sonic and i thinks its fun but not the best game.

I love Tony Hawk Project 8, it doesn't do the ps3 any justice at all but if you liked the old THPS games you will love project 8.

anyone played Blazing Angles, I got it for my girl yestarday, u  know it has motion sensor..girl games..kind of kewl..i chose it over motorstorm..although i like motorstorm, i think i will get tired of going around in circles..

cod3 was a disappointment for me... i would rather play the 360 version of it... can't really tell the difference anyway.... (no, i'm not dissin ps3 in any form or way... just personal preference.)

Im currently playing Splinter Cell Double Agent and enjoying it alot more than I expected so I recommend this without a doubt. Will definately be getting RS: Vegas now.
