right guys, the ps1 save games make sense! to quote "The hole is patched in newer firmwares, sorry guys. Anyways, to use the hack, you will need a copy of Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions. The stand alone game that was released after Metal Gear Solid that has many ridiculous training missions. Once you have unlocked photo mode, you will need a modified save file of a picture, that I will be posting when I'm ready to release the hack into the wild.

Edit: by the way, if you were wondering, after you load the saved picture on the game, the screen goes black, I then eject the disc and load a burnt game. The burnt game will then load, due to the code I have running in the background.

I've done the swap tutorial with the switch and if I new it was so easy I would of done it along time ago. Got some detailed pics while doing it so if anyone wants them i'll put them up.

You just need 1 original PS2 game for it to work. So with my PS2 being Jap, I had to get a Jap PS2 game. I can now play all my original PAL PS2 games as well as backup games and NTSC games on the Jap console.

Its 100mb so may take afew minutes to load depending on your connection.

Now its sorted and know it works i'll make a little case for the switch and tidy it up abit.

I managed to peal the sticker back without making it looked it had been tampered with so I can still take it back to my local asda (walmart) and exchange if anything was to go wrong with it.

I dont know if you saw or not but I made a post about another PS3 i had squealing (that came from the states) so i bought a pal ps3 from my local asda but decided I didnt want it so accidently put the squealing ps3 in the pal box and returned to asda.... if ya get me
Only down side is I have a pal machine with a ntsc region 1 box. If anything happens to my jap machine i'll do the same.

Using a switch is eally simple and easy to install but just gotta open the system. Must admit when it first worked it was very exciting, i mean, playing my original pal ps2 games and backups on the jap ps3. There just 2 simle wires to change and about a dozen screws to take out to get to it.
