Hello
At first i don't have a ps3, but an Idea for all that like
very much the ps2 games :-)
I read in the net that you can put on the ps3 Windows. If right
there is a great solution for all ps2 lovers. Put a PS2 Emulator
on Windows and Play the PS2 backups. Here's the Plan.
EDIT: You can also use the Fedora Linux version of the Emulator
EDIT2: Please follow the instructions from the Install text in the Linux version to get the emulator running
1. Get yourself "Windows XP" Windows can't be installed, so use Fedora Linux
2. Get the ps2 Emulator at
http://www.pcsx2.net/downloads.php
3. Get the ps2 Emulator Bios at
http://ps2bios.cjb.net/
if it's not reachable or you are having trouble with it go to
http://web.archive.org/web/200503022350 … e.free.fr/
and search for ps2 (scroll full down)
3. Install "Fedora Linux" on to your PS3
4. Put the Emulator on "Fedora Linux"
on the Desktop
5. Copy the Bios Files that you got from step 3 in to the folder
ps2emulator\bios
6. Put your PS2 Backup on the Fedora Linux system
7. Run "pcsx2t.exe" from the "ps2 emulator" folder.
pcsx2t.exe is used when theyr is no "sse2" thing in the ps3, if there
is take the pcsx2.exe
just look wikipedia for more information ;-)
8. Go in the programm to Config/Cdvdrom and choose your Backup.
9. Choose now in the programm File/run CD¦DVD
10. And now you can Play your PS2 Backup (hopefully)
Fore more information and answers to your problems about the PS2 Emulator go to
http://www.pcsx2.net
I hope I it worked and I could help you with this Idea :-)![]()
PS: Thank you to "nickb827" for corecting me that it isn't possible to install Windows on the PS3

dont think it works
cuz PS3 can hardly run linux or anything else(EXCEPT PS games) cuz the RSX doesn't work in other OS thats why i dont think this works
and if anybody tried it tell us

Well on the PCSX2 site they have a build for Linux. This can be tried on Linux on the PS3. (But I seriously doubt it will work)
PCSX2 0.9.3 Linux - 64bit
This is the long awaited linux return of PCSX2, a lot has changed since 0.8.1 but now its just as good as the windows version!! The build was compiled using Fedora Core 6, if you are experiencing random crashes, download the source and build a personal executable. http://www.pcsx2.net/downloads.php

Hey people, you can't install windows on your PS3. This topic has been discussed before. Even if you could, there would be no way to play it on the PS3 without getting access to the RSX which no one has figured out how and you would has to rewrite the program so it could run on a PPC computer. The PS3 is a PPC computer, not a 64 bit btw.

Thanks for the info. It is almost not possible to run Windows from the PS3, but you can if you use the Virtual machine from Linux, but it will work really crappy.
How do you mean the Topic has been discussed before? You mean the ps2 emultor from pcsx2.net ?
