you sure it’s legal? Last time I heard its against the law to even sell mod chips so wouldnt installing them be the same for a store to install them? but i’m not sure so i might be wrong

i know this has nothing to do with the video but in case any one is interested the PSXLOADER (ps2hombrew emulators) totaly works i tried it and now i have three virtual memory cards on my ps3 for swapmagic one to boot the homebrew and the other to boot PS2 backups of the games i own, and obviously one for my ps2 games. i have FW2.60 USA 60g all without any modchip. I think these specific hacks may work on later firmwares because the PSXLOADER suposedly wouldnt work after FW 2.41 or something and it totaly works on mine, so if any one has a laterr FW could you please try these and pos your results, i dont want to upgrade if they dont work.

So no one seems to care tha Sony seems to be neglecting the ps2 hardware which is still HACKABLE !!!! C’mon people get with the programa there has to be something in this look into this im not a programer so i cant but i know many of you can. I bet there has to be an exploit in this after all the ps2 hardware still runs inside th ps3.
Not for this new PS3 Slim they took out the one thing you need to emulate PS2 titles on your PS3 Slim the backward compatibility. Without this you cannot play your PS2 titles no hack, PSXLOADERS, or SWAPMAGIC would work on this.
i know there is now backward copatibility on the slims or even some older models with just software emulation.
im talking the original releases like mine.
i have both emulators and ps2 backups of yes my own games its a US fw 2.6 60gb, supposedly its only suposed to work up to fw 2.4 but its working just fine on mine i think sony fasing out the EE processor is compleatly neglecting it in the new FW.

man. this sucks…a slim? without b/c? you might as well as have a clutter of consoles next to your tv…which won’t look so good…
but honestly…for people believing that the ps2 emulators will appear on the later gen is fake. even yahoo news reported on the slim has stated…i think several other site also cited it with reputable sources as well as it coming direct from the president of Sony’s mouth…what more do you want?i suspect that the ps2 will still be around anyhow.
oh yeah…almost forgot…ain’t no stores that will install modchip…they’ll buy modified consoles AS LONG AS THEY DON’T KNOW…
however, if you wish to ask the store, be prepared to either get arrested or asked not to come back to the store…i know this for a fact as it would voliate the term of agreement to sales of modified consoles or watsoever. however, if you were to know someone who wouldn’t mind doing it for you, for a fee, then you just might be lucky. MIGHT…and as for a modchip for ps3…why? if you don’t support the devopler of the ps3, they might stop making it for the ps3…
