Tomorrow those arcade machines, pool tables, and bowling lanes are going to be packed busy. No longer will you — yeah, you with the closed beta invite — be the cool one from your inner circle of [real life] friends. Sony is opening their Home to the PS3 public — new features, new mini-games, new content — all freshly prepped for tomorrow’s Open House.

The closed beta was pretty dry tbh, the pool and bowling were pretty cool, but it was just a concept of things, the open beta is going to have a tonne of new features..
I really hope they add more… The closed beta has been really boring. I rarely even get on it…

Very sorry about the delay here. The PSN outage really set us back a while but things are picking up again. And apologies for the delay in updates, I had to get home to continue with this. Looks like we’re not far off now though.

has any one gotten the open beta yet? I have been looking for it all day today and there is nothing out there that is saying that it out yet other then this sight i have down loaded the home theme and still no invite HELP ANYONE
there has been delayes on relasesing it today. they are still working on it and it should be here soon. im guessing bout 9 or 9.30 but it could be later on. bassically they had to deal with the psn bugging out ect so there has been some set backs. you dont need to downlopad anything special to get into this one. they say it will appear under your netowrk tab on the xmb much like folding at home does. so just be patient and it will be here soon. ( hopefully)

i’m in my house at the moment, had to re-download the 1.01 version earlier today so home square, and bowling alley and such were deleted also..
however from what i can tell there’s no change.

now had 4 unsuccesful attempts at actually getting in. with netowrk failure every thime. hopefully this is just a hiccup and willb e resolved shortly. but it is annoying!!

Yes, it’s not under the network menu, it’s under the PlayStation Network Menu by the PlayStation store menu. I didn’t see it either until I completely powered off my system and came back in. It’s not just with the closed beta crowd that this is necessary.

How do some dudes sign in? i have tryed for two hours now :/ first it said (network error). and then (request time out) and now that problem don’t come up. now it just trying to sign in. totaly still. someone whit same?
i got a glimpse, was creating my character, then…it froze, like the ps3 froze, couldnt shut down using the controller, had to get up and manual restart, im trying again though

AAAAHHHHHH Help guys! I got the home beta but all I get is network error D5027
i’ve been on psn home since last night around 11pm cst, and so far no major problems, except having to wait and wait just to play bowling and pool, they definitely need to make a lot more duplicates of the bowling game because it took me forever to finally be able to play it.
i’m wondering who’s dumb enough to pay for items in a virtual world when there are games, movies, and downloadable content they could buy?
anywayz, i don’t have any major gripes about home, but there should be a few more arcade games for the time it took sony to release it.

OK…. To be honest…. it is a good game type thing but for years in the making? it could be a lot better, I mean there isnt a lot to do, sure you can play pool and some arcade mashines but you neen more stuff. pool is ok bowling is ok but took forever to get a game. Make it a bit bore interactive let up jump around climb things swing off things add more games but please do something.
Finally!!!!!!! this better be good. i have been waiting for ever for this. if this isnt good im gonna be pissed off huge!

Not yet. although the only annoying this to actually get in it. like it takes forever. like 50 attempts last time if not more.
but once your in its pretty quick. i am just on edge incase i get randomly dissconnected and have to start the log in proccess all over again. i’d give it about 2 weeks before things stable out. but hey look on the bright side. home is out to the public. no matter how sparse it is!
WTF! I downloaded home yesterday when on to play ps3 today it broke and to restore ps3 what do you know u cant download home thanks sony u jackasses.
