The TIFF exploit DOESNT Work on recent firmware anyway! it only works on 1.50 or something old like that!

also DONT update think about it! everytime some group gets 1 step closer to crackin the ps3 sony releases new firmware! its just another way to block the CFW or exploit

honestly wats the point of hacking the ps3, what homebrew can you get on it, its impossible to transfer files from comp to ps3(from wat i know of) and you cant get no iso’s. if your guna spend 50 bucks an a blueray disk just to copy the files from on ps3 game to the blank cd then u might as well buy the game. from my point i see no use in hacking the ps3. psp was better to hack becuase you can get isos, homebrew change the themes and everything. ps3 is hard to do that.

nick48 if we can run homebrew it means we could potentionally unlock the PS3 and show everyone what it can really do.. for example the cell atm isnt running anywhere near as good as it could.. the homebrew scene could crank it up and show us.. its not just about the games!

even if it does get hacked, you will not be able to go online for games because sony can easily detect if your ps3 is modded and can ban you off the playstation network. sont has learned from their mistakes with the psp.

sorry nick you are a little behind in the times and perhaps lack of research has led you down an uneducated path…..when it is hacked it will be fully hacked! There is already an online work around as the ps3 is known to do checks on your FW, since you seemed to mention psp…maybe you remember you could spoof your firmware!!But I dont expect you to remember that, that would imply you use more then 2% of your brain! and excuse me if i am being rude, I dont take kindly to people who say “dont hack the ps3″ or “it cant be hacked” get a clue!! if it is made by man it can be undone by man! there is always gonna be someone smarter then the next guy….as for nick, there is always gonna be, everyone, who is smarter then you! lol j/k,

The globe for the time zone has always been in there in the last update we had. The update that gave us the new music visualisation which was 2.10 I think. Get your information right mate

did they add more divx format support? am checking if all my divx files and xvid files will work. None of my divs with AAC sound or AC3 worked so maybe people should try that. Also if the ps3 can play all mp4 files with h264 video and aac sound. Maybe sony improved that

B r drives got missed up some system gave the dead yellow light semi brick means it would froze in the xmb so if you had a 60gb with the ee=gs
say goodby to it that why you wait and let the test rat try it first and if it good you do it hope a hack come soon and a unbricker it happen to early game disk like a game that just came out get the first batch messup your system it happen

This small point release for Sony’s PS3 just fixed a few bugs and exploits, but brought a new feature that allows PlayStation 2 games that needed to install onto a hard drive to do so. Great for those who are still playing Final Fantasy XI.

This last comment doesnt make much sense…only 20 and 60 gb PS3’s can really play ps2 games… the 80gb version is practicaly a joke in emulation…and the newly touted 40gb couldnt play a ps2 game if its circuits lives depended on it. Usualy early adopters get screwed…but in my oppinion…we have the best systems… even if they are aging faster then the newer models.

I understand that the 60gb is the only PS3 that has PS2 hardware inside and the 40gb and 80gb have software to emulate a PS2.
So the 60gb is far superior in that sense as far as I know.

And people should moan about a FREE update that may improve something on the system no matter how small.
At least they are updating things quickly.

The update 2.17 makes a frame forward/slow option and a slow motion forward/backwords while watching a video. You can also skip scenes now with different formats.

Iso Loader??? Not a chance! lol I’ve been reading about that since last year before the PS3 came out on Europe, and all turn out to be fake, or they didnt work!

thats my thoughts besides even if you cant play your free games, give some funds into sony i mean they are responsible for the ps3 and the development on the system.

if the PS3 gets hacked sony is gonna make alot of money…when i seen the PSP play snes games and whatever else i went out and bought a PSP so imagine the PS3 hacked sony PS3 sales will go up just like PSP no doubt about it

Sony don’t make cash on their console though like nintendo. Why would they want it hacked to boost sales to lose money cause no one buys the games?

the PSP was hacked and they make tons of money on it they still bought games when it was hacked the only reason hacks was good so you can play old games on your PSP like sega or nintendo but people still bought the games also so both ways sony made money

so if the PS3 becomes hacked and can do what the PSP does then its also a good thing people will still buy games

dude are you nuckingfuts now mater how you cut it the ps3 has not got 3.10x the power of the 360 .i have both systems not just one like most fans boyz and i can tell you that to emulate the 360 at full speed the ps3 would have to be about 10x the power of the 360 which it is sadly not. as for game ports porting a game is not the same as emulating one for instance when you port a game vast parts of the game code is rewritten to accommodate the target hardware ,when u emulate a system things like system calls and irq (and not mention that the ps3 has less ram free for the user to play with) all these things come into play and then remember that the 360 dashboard is way more complex than the ps3 xmb so you would have to emulate that as well.
if you take for instance the n64 that only ran at 100mhz ,it need a pc that ran at at least 750mhz
and even then it did not run so well. the 360 has three cpu cores and three sub cpu cores that work together the ps3 only has one core and 6 coprocessors and the 6 coproc only work when program to that’s why when games for ported to the ps3 then tend to preform less than on the 360
