Foster City (CA) - Playstation 3 users can expect a “pretty big change in the Playstation Network in the early part of April,” according to Sony Computer Entertainment America’s John Hight.
The “pretty big change” comes in the form of a major interface overhaul which is said to be based largely on customer feedback, according to Hight in an interview with Gamasutra.

trust me xbox live sux some serious balls and is sad in comparrison to the ps3 menu, my hope is that ps3 doesn’t go and fuck up our menu…..maybe it is good enough Jimbo Jones…..perhaps, just a guess, but maybe this is in preperation for HOME!!! I own both consoles, a ps3 and xbox360 and the ps3 kicks the living daylights out of the xbox but sony could learn a thing or two from Microsoft’s xbox live.
1. a direct chat feature that when connected to a friend stays connected when starting a game.
I’m sick to the teeth of being invited into a game on cod4 and getting the server full notification and not being able to select a private chat with the person who invited me so i can tell them the servers full.
2. Being able to connected a headset without having to go into menu after menu .
3. connecting a headset while playing a game often results in exiting the game to connect the bloody thing properly.
4. reading a mesage while playing a game, again exit the game to read it.
5 And where the bloody hell is HOME, come on sony sort it out.
That will all be fixed as soon as WE GET IN-GAME XMB ACCESS!!!! GET 2 WORK SONY!!!
And as for the Xbox I own both systems and all i can say is sony is losing money from alot of us just so i can get some damn achievements…
In other words HURRY UP WIT HOME.
Agreed on that one mate, the achievements on xbox games cranks up the addiction factor and having a gamertag, SONY should do a little bit sweet negotiations with Billy Bob Gates and do a deal.
Let’s say sony gets the achievements and gamertag idea and Billy Bob gets a Bluray for the xbox, it would make the thing a lot quieter. lol.

no sony is talking about the hacker dark_alex they mention that a sony programmer had the chance to work with him and still working together to profit the company they showed a demo of the xbox xmb, i always though he worked for sony

I dont know about you guys. But I think HOME is ALOT farther away than we think. They are going to wanna work out all the kinks in it before they put it out….or at least they should. At it seems they are having a lot of issues. I wouldnt be surprised if it came out sometime in Q3. not at all surprised…….im not holding my breath.
