PS3 & PSP Remote Play Supporting PSOne Games!

Posted by greg on December 18, 2007

Numerous emails we’ve received detail an interesting feature that goes unmentioned with PSP firmware 3.80 and PS3 firmware 2.10. Those owning both devices running said firmwares may take advantage of a new Remote Play feature — PSOne games!

Now you have the option to save precious storage space on your memory stick by playing all your favourite PSOne games over Remote Play. This apparently works with PSOne titles downloaded via the online PlayStation Store or using the original disc.

Thanks to everyone who emailed us.

Nice, can use the Castlevania space for something else when M33 is out. 4GB is nice but not enough =\

I think they’ve improved the music visualizer slightly as well, I’ve noticed some more vibrant colours being produced.

On further inspection you can also get a earth in space to appear if you press on the visualizer button while music is playing

in m33 CFW i noticed you can make the umd accessible via the USB connection, dows this mean it will be possible to access the PSone games in the same way for easy backup of the disc

A bit off-topic, but i need help!

I’ve always been able to stream movies & videos from my PC to my Ps3 via Tversity Media Server. I’ve come across an issue ever since i updated to version 2.10. My movies & videos now only play for about 1/4 of the total time and they pause on their own out of nowhere just freeze on the pause screen, not allowing me to do anything. My settings are still the same on my PC and I havn’t touched any settings on the Ps3.. If any1 came across this issue and found a fix please let me know…

playing ps1 games over wi-fi is okay, but there’s to much delay, even at +2, -2
