it is a hack actually. if you open up the blu ray drive and hold the barcode over it for a few minutes, the lazer changes color and the ps3 kernel is ‘unlocked’, allowing unsigned code.
the fact is that it isnt hurting anyone if news like this is posted, i honestly dont see why ppl care. It might be different if there were sooo many hacks that this just got in the way

If they do however, go to Pharmacy section and find a catalog that will have these coupons in them.

They lied to you. It only says no good on Sears home electronics and sear appliances. The PS3 is not a sears home electronic.
