We all know PS3 XMB themes for firmware 2.00 are available through the PlayStation Store. At the same time, you can grab some here. How to install ‘em (thanks for the email FRAK):
- Create a folder called PS3 at the root level of your memory card.
- Open the PS3 folder and create another folder entitled THEME.
- Place your downloaded theme file, ie nature.p3t into the THEME folder. From windows it will appear as: X:\PS3\THEME\nature.p3t.
- Now plug your storage device into your PS3.
- Go to your XMB –> Settings –> Theme Settings –> Theme –> Install –> Select Storage Device –> Select a theme.
- All of the themes you put in the folder with the .p3t extension should be visible and selectable now.
Also up for grabs is a PS3 theme creator for Windows. Should you craft something so awesome that others must see, please email it to us. We’ll be glad to host custom XMB themes.

I installed the update and my PS3 came alive and tried to give me the bad touch.
hey i drag the icon into the program but it says failed can any1 help me with that?
could u guys put more detail into the instuctions cuz u guys didn’t say were to put the p3t creator thing in the theme folder or ps3 or desktop?
it’s all there in the readme file. “drag-and-drop an XML file onto the p3tcompiler.exe icon. A theme file with file extension “p3t” will be created.”
i do drag and drop but when the command prompt opens it says failed y?

Edit the sample.xml one and rename for urs.
