Its been reported that a debug build of PS3 firmware v1.80 has been leaked to the public. What does this mean? Well, potentially it could open up the doors to many great possibilities — executing unsigned code, playing backed-up Blu-Ray games and/or movies, etc… You get the general idea.
Now — not much has stemmed from this leak just yet; however, rest assure, the great hackers are doing their thing by analyzing the bits and bytes.
HanSooloo has made some progress and is sharing the PS3 Firmware Table of Contents — the module names, addresses, and lengths. Fetch that below.

* Note: the debug version of PS3 firmware 1.80 does not install on retail consoles. It is strictly used (by us) for studying the internals of the firmware.

This is a big breakthrought for us Ps3 owners……. So I guess we shoud not upgrade when 2.0 comes out… Hopefully whatever comes out we can do it from 1.8…. P.s .>>> SONY really needs to start making some good games!!!

Bout damn time this site had an update.. Sadly it’s not that important. So what if there is a Debug of 1.8 firmware leaked. No hacks yet, no damn ISO loader that has been rumored for damn months now. Kinda sick of visiting this site each day only to see the same crap. Nintendo hacks has updates daily and progress going on.
nintendo hacks dosent update daily it never updates. i check that one everyday also and all they ever have are uselees stuff that arent even hacks, there just vids and exesories

you are all forgetting that even though its out, its still encrypted and lack a key to decrypt it, and theres no way to load it on the PS3 even IF someone managed to get it hacked and cracked, cause we still need it to be signed to load…
There are only 2 things this can really do:
-open the blinds so we can see the house from the window. Too bad it don’t open the window itself.
-possibility of custom firmware with the help of the infectus modchip.
I am personally hoping that the blinds will show how to get through the sewer pipes so we can clean the house out and put new stuff in without opening the front door..

Well, I think that this is an open window. We will all eventually have USB HD’s with all are games on them and have alittle ISO loader to use the games. This is the dream it will all come together in time. Remember, it always does. All systems have been hacked except for this one its only a matter of time my friends.

I’m experiencing somethin horrible with my ps3. after fews minutes the top of the screen becomes blur n shakes and I can’t see the upper part, after 30 minutes or so the lower part of the TV starts with the same thing. Is it a problem with my console??? Thanks!!!
