According to the most recent MotorStorm release from Paradox, they claim to have found more exploitable holes in the PS3 firmware; up to 1.51, that is. In fact, by the sounds of it, there are several potential vulnerabilities. The NFO hints at a possible TIFF exploit which may be used to run unsigned code; i.e.) the largely anticipated & long overdue ISO loader. But, the wait continues — must be patient!
Hmzzz i think we have news to give do we? Ever wondered why the PS3 is such a better machine than a xbox360? simply because they implement too much stuff in one time! “SCEI” dont do that, you need to learn a bit more from Microsoft on this part even when they have forgotten a hypervision hack on kernel 4532 and 4548 they fixed it very fast! And what do we see on the PS3? Up until firmware 1.51 we still see holes! Why? You guys dont have the right persons to work with or is it just the pressure from the big boss? So for now dont update higher than 1.51 since 1.54 hasnt yet been tested, and 1.51 had a few tiny things fixed, but it didnt stop us much :-D Ohhh btw ever wondered if those updates are required on a disc? Exploits are available in all operating systems!! its the iSo loader Paradox promised in there releases, not some very old PSP tiff exploit story.
I don’t mean to sound harsh, but don’t be an asshole. The PSP has an ARM proc, the PS3 has the Cell. The code isn’t the same. The type of exploit is the same, but the code won’t be. And bitching about Paradox not releasing the loader isn’t going to make them want to release it faster, it will just piss them off. Wait patiently.

It was a frivolous choice of language but typical of the dutch stoner minister of information in charge of drafting their nfos. Be patient guys, you wont see a loader this side of the PAL territory release of the PS3. I have full faith in PDX and fingers crossed PAL territories will have an exploitable firmware. I just wish PDX would stop fuelling the flames of the impatient and gullible, these vague donkey/carrot nfos are becoming tedious

i`ve worked that out now. its april. a is in brackets because its at the beggining. and there are 5 symbols. ! april has 5 letters. so it must be comin out in april
the iso loader wont come out till 1.6 firmware comes out…that firmware will be a must for ps3 users and having a iso loader not compatible with 1.6 would be a downer. wish the best of luck with the devolopment of the iso loader!

I think what needs to be worked on is a way to get those damned locked save files (like NFS: Carbon’s) onto a computer/flash card. Does anyone know of a way?

Even if you can load games off the HD, I still have to consider forking over the $600 plus the tax. I don’t even care if it comes with a Blu Ray player. You would think Sony learn from the 3DO in which it costed $700 when it came out.
Nothing is unsafe on 1.54.., just its not been tested with the iso loader yet !!

This is why I hate hakers!! Why must you all have to pirate games that hard working people spend years to create. Stealing games is the same as walking into a clothing store and walking out with cloths you did not pay for. Dont get me wrong, hombrew is awesome but iso loaders are what makes the homebrew community look so bad. Just buy the damn games and stop stealing.

i still bought buy my PS3 games! and then that i create them as iso because they load faster by HDD rather than direct CD. (i hated the way for how EA games use the disc with “spooling” as if it was a HDD = massive lag like Def Jam icon and all ea titles.) my maddest money goes kudos that i still bought my ps3 games! we need those companies alive by investing to buy those next generation games = by people like you take spend hours and months spent to make a game ((fuck grammer, i’m adding))

I found a .TIFF exploit in November when the PS3 first came out. I commented and left instructions but no one seemed to care. There is a PSP EBOOT loader for PSP firmware 2.1 that lets you run homebrew on a psp. Let’s take that file that’s on your memory stick and put it in the stick reader on your PS3 and load it off the menu under game(just like psp) then memory stick. Let me know what you can do with it. I’m thinking, PSP games on your PS3’s hard drive that are bootable…Let me know
you are vague with the comment.. although people hardly even had a closer chance to thinking about exploiting the ps3 when it debuted (i didn’t think it was possible, but when i’d buted the ps3 up, it felt exactly like a PSP XMB or menu interface) so i was like… wtf? what if i’d actually suffers the same was as i exploited my psp?? anyways we’re gonna find things out possiblely at the last minute
