wraggster, over at dcemu, has posted instructions on how to get the PS3 Sixaxis controller functioning in Windows. Download the rar archive below and follow these simple steps:
- Download and install the filter driver (libusb-win32-filter-bin-0.1.10.1.exe).
- Unpack ps3sixaxis_en.exe
- Plug the SIXAXIS into your PC.
- Run ps3sixaxis_en.exe once.
- Push the PS button on the SIXAXIS once if it doesn’t see it straight away.
To confirm it working:
- Browse to Control Panel and select Game Controllers
- Choose the PLAYSTATION3 controller and click on Properties
- Press the controller buttons & see the effect on the screen.
Cool, huh? It’s recommended Windows XP or higher.

This is actually cool. VEry late talk though, i was around when it first came out about a month ago. lol. This is great for n64 emus and stuff. THis isn’t useless at all. This is awesome
Nice… I ran the exe. and it worlks to perfection… The only problem is that when you disconnect the Ps3 remote from the Pc, then the Ps3 turns on.. Other than that, great. ;)
It doesn’t seem to work on Vista for me. The four red lights just keep blinking, but I am able to view it in control panel under game controllers as a ps3 sixaxis and it does charge.

does this work with the xbox360 wifi pad or only the ps3 pad?

Mine wont work at all and I’m running Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005.
my comp recognized the controller soon as i plugged it in w/o running the program but it doesnt work either way with or w/o the program i cant callibrate it.
Blah, I must be a total moron or something. I’ve reinstalled this a few times but to no avail, the computer recognizes it and lists it as a game controller, but I can’t calibrate it. Also. the LEDs on the back also all light up and flash throughout the duration whilst it’s plugged in.

the libusb0.dll goes to my desktop do i need to transfer it some ware alse. man this is the best to play on snes emulaters
To those who are having problems…. Run Both the .EXE & the .Dll… Then got to control panel and go to properties… Automatically it will recognize the Ps3 remote… But if you cant calibrate it, run the .EXE again then try.. Also press the properties option a few times… THIS SHOULD WORK… I don’t know why its so difficult to calibrate… Maybe its the SIXAXIS LOL ;)

well…not working even after clicking on the .exe file multiple times and more. I even have a Sony Vaio laptop. It charges the controller, however, which I guess is still good because when it needs a charge I can just plug it in on my laptop right next to me instead of sitting right next to the TV (b/c the freakin’ usb cord is so short).
Ahh,you can fix that by doing this,activate the .exe file multiple times,go to controlpanel,game controllers and hit properties on the ps3 controller,when calibrating press the PS button and it works! Its on the window that you test the buttons and stuff. ^_^ That problem is a bug cause youd had to do the same each time you connect your ps3 controller to the pc,maybe there will be an updated version…I dunno.*glares at wraggster* =D lol
Anyone know of a way to find out how each button registers? I want to begin doing Flash-Based games that work on the PS3, and obviously, I’ll need to know what to put in for the ActionScript.

i got the sixaxis to work for my emus but i have a bluetooth hub on my pc and was wondering if i could use the controller wirelessly, when i hit the ps button (with ps3 switch on back of console off!)Les Enfants Terribles) the hub doesnt find it, Help, anybody?
